Fast growing IT and outsourcing services provider, Exact Abacus, have completed the purchase of a new 10,800 sq. ft. warehouse adjacent to their current site at Matrix Park, Buckshaw Village. In 2015, the company reported a jump in turnover to £3.6m and shipped a record 500,000 parcels to over 90 countries on behalf of UK and international eCommerce clients.
The new development at Matrix Point was recently completed by Seddon and adds over 1,200 pallet positions of storage, doubling output capacity to 4,500 shipments per day. Once fully commissioned, this facility and a new returns processing centre will create 25 new jobs in the area.
Over £50,000 is being invested in specialist, high-tech handling equipment and the company’s own platform to ensure processing costs are amongst the lowest in the industry. Sales & Marketing Director, Lee Thompson comments: “as entrepreneurial online retailers increasingly focus capital on stock, channels and marketing, we have shaped our whole proposition around their needs. Our software technology seamlessly links eCommerce to operations, helping clients save money on handling and shipping whilst consistently delivering 5-star rated customer service – the thousands of web reviews are testimony to that. Outsourcing is a fast growing sector and this investment is a statement of our intent to grow the business and support our clients in the long-term.”
